htdig: Search Result error

Greeting all
All of a sudden when my search results come up  the number of documents
reads

Documents 1 - ASTDISPLAYED) of 13 matches. More *'s indicate a better
match.

Can anyone give me a hint as to what variable has gone haywire and where
?
