Hi guys,

        I'm doing a fairly complex, multi levelled template with includes
within includes and many if_else constructs (which are completely
independent from the code - so I'm not breaking any template guidelines - I
hope :)...

        Anyway, I want to document how the templates work and which switches
should be used in the code and where to control my page displays. If I use
the normal <!-- --> comment style, it shows up in my html source, obviously.
Is there any other mechanism that could be used/is used, as this is firstly
insecure, and secondly, shoddy to the people that happen to glance at the
html source.

        I was thinking, it would be useful to have <!--TMPL_MSG NAME="My
message goes here" -->

        The reason for doing that is twofold: 1) Syntax highlighting in
<insert editor of your choice> still works perfectly and then HTML::Template
still has the chance to strip it from the template so it wont show. Whaddya
say, Sam? :)

        Feel free to shoot that idea down with constructive flames, or share
your commenting techniques with us.

TIA
