I haven't had any problem with it. I've been programing on it for about a month switching from mod_perl 1.0. Others will tell you that the threaded environment isn't ready for production but I have yet to run into a conflict. If you're running RedHat 9.0 your perl is already set up for a threaded mod_perl. Other than that you really don't have to have MP2 in threaded mode as there are others as well. I just chose to jump in to the deep end. I've compiled PHP for Apache 2 but I haven't gotten around to playing with it yet.
