I've just begun using HTML::Template, and have run into the issue that the first line of the simplest template gets unconditionally deleted. I noticed this when my DOCTYPE got mangled in the output. Adding a newline at the top of the file, naturally, fixes this.
Is this a known bug? I searched the mailing list archive, the buglist, and the discussions, but saw no mention of it. I'm hoping someone will go "aha, it's that..."
