Over the last few years we have progressed like all of us here from putting
all the HTML in Perl to writing our own template modules to now using
HTML::Templates. There is now a debate on the scalability of the module.
Considerations of development and maintenance times have been discussed, but
the issue of scalability keeps coming up. Weve done some internal
benchmarking on some sample scripts, which show (obviously) that using HTML
in Perl or very simple templates using eval are faster. For sites that don
t get much traffic, there is no debate.

We know about mod Perl and caching templates, so Im not looking for advice
in that area.

Could anyone that uses H::T on a heavy traffic site (for discussion sake,
sites with peak visits over 20 per second. Im not talking Amazon or Yahoo
loads) please give us success or failure stories.

Thank you in advance.
