http://issues.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=34391 ------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2005-04-20 11:48 ------- Ortwin, Yes, I was glad to see in http://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_merchant-outside that they added in the section "Integrating with Backend Applications" also a "web services" sub-section, that after logging in under https://developer.paypal.com/cgi-bin/devscr?cmd=help/main offers "API Client Tools ... For Java with Axis". Also, in "API Reference", they even appear to issue client certificates, so better authentication appears to be possible (although I wonder why it is not enough to just be able to upload an arbitrary certificate as a merchant that I affirm having a good related private key to). "Instant Payment Notification", however, is still their number one item listed for backend integration, so while perhaps better alternatives are available (and I may well also start investigating their use), IPN remains a broadly advertized and possibly predominantly used option - thus the HttpClient-based example at hand hopefully still is useful to many developers. -- Configure bugmail: http://issues.apache.org/bugzilla/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the assignee for the bug, or are watching the assignee. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
