Are you talking about upload or download? For upload,
see [1]. For download, get the Content-Length of the
reply (if it is available) and count the bytes you read.
I don't think there is any point in making that a
default feature, but if somebody sends patches for
contrib code...
I am referring to download. I will start looking into the sockets of
httpcore and see if I can create a patch.
Don't look into sockets. Just wrap an entity on top of
the one that is returned.
