tradeoffs of CoreConnectionPNames.SOCKET_BUFFER_SIZE

Hi,

What are the tradeoffs of using a very large value (e.g., say 1MB) of  
CoreConnectionPNames.SOCKET_BUFFER_SIZE on client performance?
