I am sorry but I see nothing wrong about the way HttpAsyncClient handles
the exchange. As far as I can tell the connection gets terminated before
the client manages to get a response. I appears that for some reason the
i/o reactor gets terminated prematurely and shuts down all active
connections.
If you can reproduce the problem with a test case, I can have a look at
it.
