Ignore this message. This is the result of me hanging out in the
debugger, trying to track down why I'm getting a 403 from the proxy after
successfully authenticating, as in this message:
15:02:14,984 [main] DEBUG org.apache.http.impl.execchain.MainClientExec -
CONNECT refused by proxy: HTTP/1.1 403 Forbidden
15:02:14,984 [main] DEBUG
.http.impl.conn.DefaultManagedHttpClientConnection - http-outgoing-2:

15:02:14,984 [main] DEBUG org.apache.http.impl.execchain.MainClientExec -

15:02:14,984 [main] DEBUG
.http.impl.conn.DefaultManagedHttpClientConnection - http-outgoing-2:

15:02:14,985 [main] DEBUG

[id: 2][route: {tls}->http://localhost:8080->https://origin.com:9443
][total kept alive: 0; route allocated: 0 of 2; total allocated: 0 of 20]
The httpd log shows:
127.0.0.1 - ADMIN [15/Aug/2014:15:02:10 -0400] "CONNECT origin.com:9443
HTTP/1.1" 403 228
So perhaps this is a configuration problem on my end.

I've progressed a little farther. While handling the auth challenge from
the proxy, I'm seeing this:
14:51:09,593 [main] DEBUG org.apache.http.wire - http-outgoing-2 >>
"CONNECT origin.com:9443 HTTP/1.1[\r][\n]"
14:51:09,593 [main] DEBUG org.apache.http.wire - http-outgoing-2 >>
"Host: origin.com:9443[\r][\n]"
14:51:09,593 [main] DEBUG org.apache.http.wire - http-outgoing-2 >>
"Proxy-Connection: Keep-Alive[\r][\n]"
14:51:09,593 [main] DEBUG org.apache.http.wire - http-outgoing-2 >>
"Proxy-Authorization: Basic QURNSU46QURNSU4=[\r][\n]"
14:51:09,593 [main] DEBUG org.apache.http.wire - http-outgoing-2 >>
"[\r][\n]"
14:51:09,594 [main] DEBUG org.apache.http.wire - http-outgoing-2 >>
"[write] I/O error: An established connection was aborted by the software
in your host machine."
If I take the logs at their word, it looks like the proxy (httpd in this
case) is prematurely closing the connection?
