I'm not 100% sure, but there seems to be a near-perfect correlation between when I this exception in our test logs (and a worker thread exit) and having tests further on in the run fail due to outbound requests failing.
Is it the case that losing a worker thread can cause future outbound requests from the ConnectingIOReactor to get dropped?
