Hi Sebastian, thanks for looking into this. > I think that's > /www/www.apache.org/dist/commons/httpclient > on people
OK, I was missing the "www.apache.org" part :-) > I've emptied it of all the old releases (which are in archives anyway). > > One could create a index page to point to the new directory? The web server seems to combine HEADER.html with a directory listing. We could add a redirect to the parent directory, but in Jakarta I've seen an .htaccess-archive in addition to .htaccess and I don't know how that affects mirrors. Maybe it's simpler to just delete the directory and let people navigate to the new download location via the web site. > Probably best to just send them a note of the references that need to > be changed? I don't feel like tracking that down. I'm sure there is somewhere an XML file listing all components, and maybe a second one used for the download pages. But that's up to them, as long as there is no outdated copy of our stuff within their domain. If I had found the files, I would have changed them myself rather than hope for some reaction from the Commons folks. It probably doesn't fit their organizational structure to have a subproject for which nobody on their mailing lists feels responsible. cheers, and thanks again, Roland --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
