Hi folks, against all odds, I've found a few minutes to draft a TLP proposal based on the consensus we reached during the discussion. I put it in the Jakarta Wiki, to keep [EMAIL PROTECTED] in the loop:
http://wiki.apache.org/jakarta/TLPHttpComponents The style is a mixture of the previous proposal based on the Jakarta template, and the TLP examples linked from the Incubator pages. I guess at the current level of Jakarta activity, the Incubator is the better reference. The phrasing is terrible. Is that style of endless worm sentences actually mandatory, or is it just a convention nobody every cared to contest? I've highlighted the important parts so you don't have to read through all the formalism around it. In the scope description, I've dropped the "transport aspects" qualifier. That was mainly an editorial decision, since I couldn't find a way to disambiguate the phrase without creating an even worse word snake: ...the transport aspects of HTTP and related protocols ( ) <= intented reading likely reading => ( ) Please let me know what you think, and/or edit the wiki directly.
