The image actually exposes two bugs: When input images are linear, then a result encoded as TIFF is linear but GIMP treats it as sRGB (minor, could also be a bug in GIMP 2.10). The HDR image has strange gaps in it, so there is something that does not work properly when merging into a HDR image. It does not matter if internal or enblend is used as blender.
