Sometimes it is convenient when it would be possible to delete
controlpoints from the layout window. Switch to "delete controlpoints"
mode, and click on a link. Whoooosh and the controlpoints between those
pictures are gone.
(I've suggested in the past that controlpoints should carry a weight
with them. In that case, setting weight=0 would do the trick. )
