The output is always saved in the folder of the first image and the name can be
tuned with a preference setting.
So check your settings.
Or can somebody else on Mac OS confirm the bug?

Bug description:
Hugin 2014 RC4 on a MacBook Pro running OS X 10.9.4
In the simple interface, the assistant doesn't remember the last
location that a file was saved in. This is standard behavior.
Upon clicking "Create panorama..." the assistant opens up my Documents
folder, instead of the last folder I used to save a pano (minutes
before).
