>From Hugin itself the optimal canvas size is much higher. By default the assistant scale the output to 70 % of the 1:1 size. The cause was discussed on the list. You can change the value in the preferences, on the assistant tab. I do see some error in the logs, but they do not seem to harm. You added a pto into another pto file. Remove the pto from the project.
