Hugin 2014.0.0 does not work on MacOSX 10.11

Bug description:
The precompiled download Hugin 2014.0.0 does not work on El Capitan.
The application becomes unresponsive on starting (spinning beach
ball). Are any of the later versions (2015, or 2016) available as
precompiled for Macs?
