I've verified this behavior on both my desktop Mac Pro and my MacBook Pro (both running OSX 10.11.6). Haven't tried it on my wife's new iMac (OSX 12.something) yet, I'll report on that when I get a chance.
I'm using Niklas Mischkulnig's builds for OSX. I haven't tried building my own version from the original source, and not sure I'd be successful if I did try - this is quite a bit more complex than anything I've worked on before, and my major fluency is in FORTRAN and Perl. But if someone can direct me to where in the code to start looking, I'd be willing to see what I can do with it...
