The last official version of Hugin was build for an older MacOS version (current version at the date of building). MacOS changed in a non backward compatible way. Because of these changes in newer MacOS versions this Hugin version does not run on newer MacOS. Nobody provides currently executables for MacOS. So adding "me too" here does not help further. Only if a Mac user is willing and capable to help here the situation will change. At the mailing list there is an experimental version https://groups.google.com/g/hugin-ptx/c/cAzcl7HaQs4/m/ag4821bbAgAJ for Mac OS, which may work. But the user which provided this experimental version does not built current version. So only if someone from the community step into, this will improve.

It was stated as the latest version today 12/1/2023. I am running on Mac Studio Sonoma 14.1.2. The program starts, but shows "Tip of the Day" window. When I close the "Tip of the Day" window, the program crashes. I have attached a "Hugin Problem Report.txt" file. If you have a work-around I would greatly appreciate it.
