maternity ward rooms look quite similar around the world :-) <http://panospace.wordpress.com/2008/08/31/my-most-beautiful-panorama- ever/> Thanks also to the experienced fathers out here for the advice and encouragement. I feel a need to clarify my statement. I don't know how much free time I will have - and frankly it does not matter. The closures (current hugin release cycle and this year's Google Summer of Code) are an occasion to consider what is next; and the new beginning is an occasion to reconsider priorities. As I stated in the message initiating this thread, I am not going away. When thinking about what is next for hugin, I think of the next release cycle which I hope will be short (3-6 months?); and of code base documentation similar to the documentation of the build process this winter. And plenty of other opportunities. I believe this community is large and strong enough and I am hopeful that people will step up to the challenge. When thinking about what is next for me, the baby has already changed my life and there will be more change to come. Assuming the quantity of free time does not change, there is a trade off between current free time activities and new activities I will pick up with the baby as it grows. I will most likely spend less time at the computer and more reading stories to him; and more time behind a rectilinear lens rather than a fisheye lens. I will still participate to this wonderful community, but my participation is likely to be less intense than it has been over the past 15 months.
