I haven't seen this myself, i.e. this may just be a problem with the 
build you are using, what platform is this?  If you ask hugin to 
keep the remapped intermediate images, do these show the problem 
too?

Does it look the same if you use JPEG output instead of TIFF?

The best way to get this fixed is to upload a small project that 
reliably reproduces the problem.
