Thanks for the answer Lukáš!

So, if open .hdr images in Hugin, I could only obtain a HDR output in
EXR format. If ,instead, I want a enfused panorama I have to load the
bracketed shots directly in hugin: I wasn't aware of that so thanks
for pointing that out!

For the preview window, I didn't switch to LDR as you suggest. Now
it's ok!
