Blazer003: One issue you may be working with is distortion of the files from the online mapping site. I've tried to tile satellite photos from those sites too, with either of tow problems, for example:
1. Google Maps yields undistorted tiles (they are "Orthographic"), but they have the annoying watermarks all over them. 2. Google Earth has no watermarks, but aren't Orthographic; the files are fisheye distorted as if you were really taking a photo of the Earth form an elevation of a few hundred miles. So, tiles for each have their drawbacks, but Google Earth files are nearly unusable, tho a good Huginner might be able to deal with them. that ain't me. Like a poster below, I do tile patching in Photoshop. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "hugin and other free panoramic software" group.
