Hi Hugin and possible Panotools users,

Bruno released another version of his great Panotools scripts (see below).

If you are not a Perl advanced user it can be relatively hard to install
everything on your system. If you are on OSX it can become even more
complicated if you have MacPorts or Fink installed, which install their own
instance of Perl.
Installing other modules on OSX via CPAN, OSX and/or MacPorts/Fink will
corrupt your system at a certain moment due to unresolved module
dependencies between the instances (unless you're a perl guru, and even
then).

For OSX I created a package which contains a subset of Bruno's scripts and
all relevant modules the Panotools depend on. I removed the scripts which
rely (too much) on Imagemagick and on freepv and graphviz.
To be more complete I tested it on my Ubuntu server and my Virtual Kubuntu
instance and the scripts work just as well on Linux which made me decide to
make the package for linux as well.
I created an OSX .dmg and a Linux .tgz. Note that these are command line
scripts, not Gui based applications. If you start the scripts with --help
(like erect2qtvr --help) you get extensive info, so it's relatively easy to
work with them. Next to that you will find extensive documentation at the
documentation <http://search.cpan.org/%7Ebpostle/Panotools-Script-0.22/>section
of CPAN's Panotools area.

Both the OSX .dmg package and the Linux .tgz package can be downloaded from
my website at
