On a big panorama I can really hear the fairies wings buzzin' around inside my macbook. What you are looking for is not yet written. The article / wiki document that comes closest is "Panorama scripting in a nutshell<http://wiki.panotools.org/Panorama_scripting_in_a_nutshell> ". Don't get confused by the title. It's more or less a description which tools you need to create a panorama from the command line. It does however give you a good overview what tools are used from beginning to end. Note though that some of the tools that are described are now part of the Gui (but still available as command line tools also).
