Aha.  Now that I look back at an earlier pano, I see the same problem: 
a few wrong control points between image 0 and unrelated other images; 
four to image 2 and three 3 image 4 in that case.

As best I can tell, it's not yet in the FreeBSD port of Hugin.  Now that 
I know where the problem is, it's easier to correct than manually 
setting control points.
