On MacOSX we build AutoOptimizer as a binary and as a "linked in" component in the Hugin.app. Autoptimizer is not delivered with the application as hardly any user wants to use it from the command line. If you want to use the autooptimizer from the command line, you can either build it yourself [0] or download a releatively old stand-alone version from my website [1]. You find tools at "the bottom" of the page. Autooptimizer is in the "generator" tool set.
