Dear Tony, I cannot rate whether you interested in development or simply use hugin. The later one can use a pre-compiled version. Personally I cared about the windows SDK for hugin for some time and made some bug fixes. To do this in the future it is mandatory to build hugin on my machine. I suppose this not the common user profile. You can contibute to hugin as well by simply testing it with a pre-compiled version.
