concerning projection schemes, here is something I couldn't figure out
this far: if I look into the hugin project file, I find transformation
data for all individual images in yaw, pitch, roll format. But how is
the actual used projection (say gnomonic) reflected in these numbers?
If I change projection, the angles do not change, which makes sense,
of course.
The projection format is found in the f-parameter of the p-lines. A full
documentation of pto syntax is found here:
http://hugin.sourceforge.net/docs/nona/nona.txt
An overview of projections is found on
http://wiki.panotools.org/Projections
On the single projection pages which are linked from there you should
find links to the relevant Mathworld pages or eventually some formulas.
In addition lens correction parameters are used. You find more about
lens correction here: http://wiki.panotools.org/Lens_correction_model
