Stupid, stupid me!! I don't make HDRs as I don't like them but my own ImageFuser can create HDRs! I only needed to get one of my exposure-stacked pano sets, convert the stacks to hdr and feed them into hugin and into the new autopano-sift-c. It works fine. Autopano-sift-c reads the hdrs fine and does a nice job in finding the CPs.
