It also happened quite some builds ago but after updating to latest the panotools lib it functioned. Now it fails again in the above mentioned build. As my panos are mainly widescreen outside panos I don't use panini often. Otherwise I might have seen it earlier.
It just happens that I built another Hugin this evening to test for that panini projection and some other issues like the loading of previous projects mentioned by Surat. All 3 panini projections now work, so at least that is solved, but I don't have a clue why it failed in the previous build. The loading of the previous projects is a weird one: loading works fine until at "some moment" Hugin crashes and can't open older projects. No matter whether I reboot in between or not. Switching to another Hugin version solves it (???). I really need to test this further.
