My local pub some marvellous (hand made) decoration on the ceiling for the football World Cup.
But the ceiling is quite large and low, so photographing it was difficult. Using a combination of my Benbo mk 1 tripod (which will go pretty much to the ground) my homemade pano head, Canon A630 + CHDK and hugin, I managed to emulate a wide-enough angle lens, shooting straight up from the floor, using HDR to deal with the windows. http://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f234/bugbear33/photo_tech/pano_tri.jpg http://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f234/bugbear33/pano_head.jpg (the final ceiling images are on facebook, which I've only just started using; can anyone advise on how/if I can make the images public?)
