We are currently working on a stable release of Hugin being 2010.2.0. It
needs to be compiled against a beta version of libpano13, being 2.9.17
beta2.
When do we expect 2.9.17 being stable? Can this be done
within/before/simultaneously with the release of Hugin 2010.2.0?
2.9.17 is basically ready for release, Hugin 2010.2.0 won't be
released until after libpano13-2.9.17 is released.
Both Hugin and libpano13 are behind with any release schedule there
would be if there was one. I've picked it up again now after being
on holiday in the last few weeks.
(This is the point where I remind everyone that I'd be happy for
someone else to be release-manager)
The plan in my head is to do a libpano13 release candidate yesterday
and release 'final' a week later. I like to then do a Hugin release
candidate and try and get a 'final' Hugin in September.
Alexandre promises an updated Russian translation in the next week,
right now would be a good time to get any other Hugin translation
work done before the release.

There are now release-notes for 2010.2.0, if anyone wants to
translate these, this can be done anytime:

The manual could also do with some work, but the only glaring
ommission is that the page on the Fast Preview window has no mention
of the Layout tab:

We could use some new tutorials:
* Using XYZ mosaic mode to assemble photos of a mural, preferably a
mural with some street furniture in front that demonstrates the
utility of multiple camera positions.
* Using XYZ mosaic mode to patch a nadir (this works, I tried it).
