I have built hugin ( on windows xp 32bit ) following these minimal
steps ( see wiki: Build Hugin for Windows with SDK, Hugin SDK (MSVC
2008) ):
1) installed Visual C++ 2008 Express
2) installed cmake 2.6.4
3) installed Tortoise TortoiseHG
4) installed the precompiled SDK to <SDKHOME>
5) installed Java SE Development Kit 6 Update 21
6) downloaded autopano-sift-c-2.5.1, extracted and compiled ( see
wiki: Hugin SDK (MSVC 2008) )
7) downloaded libpano13-2.9.17 and extracted to <SDKHOME>\libpano
\pano13 ( I had previously renamed <SDKHOME>\libpano to <SDKHOME>
\libpano.orig )
7a) I followed these steps to compile
7b) Set two windows environment variables:
* Set variable WXWIDGETS_HOME to wxWidgets base folder <SDKHOME>
\wxWidgets-2.8.10 ( don't know if is needed anymore )
* Had to edit the file <SDKHOME>\libpano\pano13\LocalDefs.vsprops,
change the line beginning with: Value= to Value=">SDKHOME>
\wxWidgets-2.8.10"
* Set variable JDK_HOME to Java SE Development Kit's destination
directory name e.g. C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0_21
7c) Open solution file <SDKHOME>\libpano\pano13\libpano.sln
7d) Select your platform in the Solution Platform pull-down menu
7e) Select "Debug CMD" in Solution Configuration pull-down menu
7f) Select project pano13 in Solution Explorer, and then choose Build
> Project Only > Build Only pano13
7g) Select "Release CMD" in Solution Configuration pull-down menu, and
then choose Build > Build Solution
7h) Close Visual C++ 2008 Express Edition
8) downloaded freeglut_2.6.0, extracted and compiled ( see wiki:
Hugin SDK (MSVC 2008) )
9) downloaded make_3.81, extracted and compiled ( see wiki: Hugin SDK
(MSVC 2008) )
10) created directory <SDKHOME>\enblend
10a) copied the following files in <SDKHOME>\enblend:
AUTHORS.txt,ChangeLog.txt,COPYING.txt,enblend.exe,enblend_droplet.bat,enblend_droplet_360.bat,enblend_openmp.exe,enfuse.exe,enfuse_align_droplet.bat,enfuse_auto_droplet.bat,enfuse_droplet.bat,enfuse-
droplet_360.bat,enfuse_openmp.exe,NEWS.txt,readme.txt,VIGRA_LICENSE.txt,doc
\enblend.php,doc\enfuse.php
10a_note) these are enblend/enfuse 4.0 and I didn't build these files
myself, I took from builds of Petroff
11) downloaded hugin-2010.2.0_rc2 and extracted to <SDKHOME>\hugin and
compiled ( see wiki: Build Hugin for Windows with SDK )
wiki: Build Hugin for Windows with SDK ->
http://wiki.panotools.org/Build_Hugin_for_Windows_with_SDK
wiki: Hugin SDK (MSVC 2008) -> http://wiki.panotools.org/Hugin_SDK_(MSVC_2008)
P.S. To build hugin_2010.3.0, before point 11) you need to build boost
as explained in wiki: Build Hugin for Windows with SDK, just the step
5) under September 2010 note, then download hugin from sourceforge...
