Hi all,

I just logged on to the GoogleGroup web interface [0] and found out that they
are discontinuing [1] Pages [2] and Files [3].

I don't recall any recent use of Pages (and we're anyway covered with the
panotools wiki for that kind of functionality), but the Files section has been
used a lot - we're currently at 98% of its 100 MB quota.

Over the years many users have been sharing images, project files, bug reports,
patches, etc. with the community.

May I ask all of *you* to go to the Files section, identify files you uploaded,
save them (if they are still relevant) and delete what is no longer needed
there? you'll have to log on to GoogleGroup to delete, and you will be able
to delete your files only unless you are a mailing list admin.

In a second stage a mailing list admin will have to go over the remaining
files, particularly code contributions, and see if there is something that is
still worth preserving.

Thank you
Yuv
