this is one thing photogrammetry is good for... as well as making the 3d models.
you still need to tell it the size of something then you can work everything else out. i've been using image modeller (formally realviz now autodesk). it works with normal photos of 360 pano's. but as i said in another thread it could be a lot faster to do it. and maybe something that could be built into hugin which could do a better job.
