Just wondering if any paper has been published in regards to the technical details behind the feature detection in cpfind? I've found the panotools wiki page, but am looking for more details (is the detector Hessian, Harris, DoG, etc. based).
My interest is evaluating feature detection and description between historic repeat photo pair (www.mountainlegacy.ca). I've found many detectors implemented for use of research at featurespace.org, but thought it might interesting to include a comparison with cpfind.
