Hi all,

MacPorts is the repository for all "linux like" apps ported to OSX. Those
who know MacPorts know what I'm talking about.

As soon as 2010.4.0 had gone live I started to update the MacPorts version,
which was still at 0.7.
If you refresh your MacPorts environment (sudo port -d sync) you will find
the new hugin.

Building hugin 2010.4.0 under MacPorts is now as simple as:
- installing the MacPorts package itself [0] (, if you had not done that
yet).
- Opening a terminal and do a "sudo port -d sync", to get the latest ports.
- Do a "sudo port install hugin-app".

That's all. Then you will have Hugin.app and PTBatcherGui.app in your
/Applications/MacPorts.
Next to that you will also have a HuginStitchProject.app and Nona.app, but
they are hardly relevant.
Note that all Hugin helper tools will be installed as well, including
cpfind.
The MacPorts is created as such that enblend/enfuse are dependencies for
hugin and will be created as well.

I updated the MacPorts versions for enblend/enfuse (to 4.0) and libpano (to
2.9.17) some time ago. I removed autopano-sift-C as dependency (which was
still at 2.4). I registered a 2.5.1 autopano-sift-c version patch but that's
now already months in the queue.

Note: MacPorts is a source based install. Upon installation the source code
will be downloaded and compiled and built. If you have a completely fresh,
or a completely outdated MacPorts installation, the build can take really
long because all underlying dependencies need to be build (or updated)
before hugin can be compiled.

Hoi,
Harry
