Ok, after upgrading to 10.04, it works. now i have this 2010.5.0.19ef8ad7ee6a which is the very newest version if I'm not mistaken.
so it seems that my problems came from trying to install this newest hugin on ubuntu 9.10. Thank you everybody for all your help and advice. Sorry to take up so much space on this forum with my problems.
