I'm sorry if this is not right place to ask: would it be possible to make/suggest/hint cpfind to search control points near the "horizon"? I'm shooting panoramas by hand near the sea and the "horizon" often doesn't get control points at all. And therefore there are visible transitions on final output (even if I set 30 cp-s between images, these are distributed on the foreground, and this is understandable).
Would it be possible for cpfind to understand the "horizon" as an "transition area between one/two uniform/featureless areas"? It doesn't have to be always straight (curved shoreline). But it is quite sharp transition from one uniform area (sky) to another (sea/shore). The problem is annoying only when the "horizon" is surrounded by "calm" areas, in case of a clear sky for example. Is it something that could be enhanced? I can provide sample pictures if needed or open an issue in the tracker.
