I successfully built IlmBase and OpenEXR, both using --prefix=/home/doriad/bin (which is on my PATH). I then tried to configure Hugin with CMake, but I get:
CMake Error at CMakeModules/FindOpenEXR.cmake:154 (message): Could NOT find OPENEXR Call Stack (most recent call first): CMakeLists.txt:187 (FIND_PACKAGE) Shouldn't this be found automatically? Plenty of other cmake scripts find packages that I've configured/built like this. Any suggestions?
