I'm trying to align 3 jpg image files, these were converted from raw
using Canon DPP. When I run:
align_image_stack img_1579.jpg img_1580.jpg img_1581.jpg -a prefix
the error I get back is:
ContractViolation:

RemappedPanoImage<RemapImage,AlphaImage>::remapImage(): image sizes
not consistent
ERROR: caught exception:

The strange thing is other images taken at the same time and the same
orientation converted with the same version of DPP work fine.
Hmm, have you tried reconverting the images? Or converting them with
something else? And see if the problem goes away.

I've sometimes had Bibble Light generate some images with mangled EXIF
info. Regenerating them fixes it.

Yes, if I turn off the distortion correction in DPP then the problem
goes away.

I haven't tried Bibble's distortion correction on any of my source photos for panoramas, so I don't know if it would cause similar problems. I saw the other email mentioning that the lens correction was changing the image size. The way Bibble does image output, it never makes the image bigger than the original (just crops off whatever parts of the image extend beyond the original dimensions).

Perhaps you could follow up the lens correction step using imagemagick to crop the image back to the original dimensions, then feed that cropped image to align_image_stack?
