I know this thread is 19 months old, but I have a suggestion which seems 
simple: add a mention in the Preferences/Programs dialog explaining where 
to change the setting for a pre-existing project.This could be as a text 
(like the Default Arguments in the Enblend and Enfuse boxes) or as a hint, 
if there is not enough room.
