Given that no solution has been posted I assume the log just disappears? Is
there a feature request in the bug tracker to add something to save the log

You get an option to save the logfile if something goes wrong, I
think, it is a long time since I saw this. You can also save the
log if you stitch the project on the command-line since the hole
thing is written to STDOUT.
