Further details - it does actually carry on and "uncrash" if you like - I accidentally left it for an hour or more and it appears to have continued. I've now got about 20-25 instances of "Panorama Tools" running...! Doing a mix of strategies 1 and 2, at various points. Interesting...! I wonder what's happening here. Maybe the 'weight' of images is just slowing the whole thing down a great deal.
