I installed a development package that gives me gcc 4.7, and got the same error.

Am I stuck with 2010?

If you plan to use cpfind then the more recent Hugin the better.

Eventauly I would like this to be a stable production server(hence Cento, it was recommeded to me for its stability). I am using a pano head, and can reproduce all the images from the same POV,but want hugin to do the fine tuning(which I know cpfind has an option for).

If Centos users are stuck with 2010.4, is there a way to creat a rpm from source? (Checkinstall is not available as far as I can tell)

RHEL/Centos 6 is roughly based on Fedora 12, so you may just be able to install the old hugin-base package from Fedora 12.
