Carl, Sorry I should have been clearer. I have not yet installed Mac OS X 10.9. I am happily running Hugin (2013.0.0-rc1) under Mac OS X 10.8.
I am tempted to get the free update to Mac OS X 10.9 ... but if it breaks Hugin it would seriously mess up my work plans.
