They need to provide the source to people who HAVE the binary (from
them). i.e. if you, random user aks them for the source, they are
allowed to refuse.

If someone buys it, asks for the source and then recompiles the bunch
he's allowed to distribute it again. Same price, higher price, or
free. Whatever he/she wants. This means that the "market value" of the
bought version will drop quickly to nearly or completely free.
