New to the community here. I am trying to setup Hugin on AWS or
any other cloud infrastructure. Is it viable to setup Hugin this
way, I am interested in a single body+lens+shooting pattern to
begin with. Can I create a template locally & use it online? Has
anyone tried to create a similar stack?
This is definitely possible, all the Hugin stitching functionality
is available as scriptable command-line tools that can be installed
on a remote headless server. This is relatively straightforward if
you have a standard template and don't need to match photos.
It has been done before, e.g. see http://panomonkey.com as an example.
